Goodwin's ideas
This is screen shots of the music video from JAMIE T of the son Sheila. I have analysed the photos using the ideas of Goodwin. Which contain the ideas such as :
the ability to hold a shot steady
framing a shot appropriately
using a variety of shot distances as appropriate
shooting material appropriate to the task set
selecting mise-en-scène
editing so that meaning is apparent to the viewer
using varied shot transitions, captions and other effects selectively and appropriately
using sound with images and editing appropriately.

This first shot i have analysed shows a concept of a married couple being represented by monkeys. This concept gives the impression that the as humans we are no more than primates with animal instincts. This may also link in with a symbolism with society as a whole.

This shot consists of the couple (monkeys) watching T.V and confirming that they are representations of the average family/ couple This shot is an example of the notion of looking. This is where there are shots of screens within screens. This is also a good example of the framing the shot appropriatly as the angle gives the impression that we are looking in on someones lives.

This image is of the artist and is what most music videos require as performances and close ups are needed and is what the record label will request. This section of the video consists of the artist singing in to the camera with just a black background and with little light. All
